A Big shout out to Danah-Lee, a good friend in Ottawa!!! Sometime when you are waist deep in alligators, you forget that your primary objective was to drain the swamp. Danah reminded me that David wrote in Psalms 37 that regardless of our perceived circumstances, God remains in control and that at the end of the day – GOD WINS !!! Thank you Danah! I appreciate you.
Today, driving from Hawkesbury, Ontario to Montreal, I was amazed at how impolite and discourteous many of our fellow drivers were operating. Road rage and a blatant disregard for highway courtesy seemed to be the rule rather than the exception. Whatever happened to classic concepts like “Sharing the road” or “Drive Courteous”? Many people (men, women, young and old alike) were driving like they were auditioning for a NASCAR pole position. My wife, Denise, commented that they were driving like they were in a hurry to get to their own funeral, or that they were trying to meet a reservation DEAD-line for a table at the local E.R.
Could it be that we all have forgotten how to enjoy the journey and not just focus on the destination???? Just a thought …
‘til next time –
God Bless you and yours
Gene
