Hello any and all readers. I am not sure that this blog will be a good (or even a lasting) idea, but maybe it will at least be good therapy and a platform to share my thoughts and ideas. ...And who knows, maybe you wil get something good out of it as well.
Please allow me to start with a short bio and introduction myself before we get into the fun stuff: I was born in Victoria, Texas in 1958 into a strict Southern Baptist home. I spent 16 years in the US Navy travelling around the world and now reside in Montreal, Quebec, Canada with my wife, dog and cat surrounded by our 4 kids and 5 grandkids. My diverse career goes from gas-station jockey to oil-field roustabout to cowboy to Network Engineer. I am (was) a computer geek and network engineer by trade but am now living "underground" as a non-person in a foreign country (I can explain more about THAT later)
Although I am a deeply spiritual man, I have very little trust in the shackles of organized religions. I do not regard man-made doctrines as honest and pure as they seem to try to display. More people have been murdered "in the name of God" than any other motive in history. This is the foundation of my mistrust. Maybe I am a bit phobic, bipolar or just plain crazy, but I believe in the innocence and purity of faith and the Supreme Sovereignty of a HOLY God that goes beyond begging for $$ in order to get a preacher or priest to pray for your troubles or browbeating others just to advance your religous agendas. I am not advocating revolutionary actions nor am I trying to create some crazy cult following. I just want to open up the possibilities for common sense and spiritual logic that maybe we have overlooked along our way. Remember that this is a journey down a path that we call "LIFE".
I have titled my blog "MY JOURNEY" simply because I am sure that it will be a rambling series of spiritual, philosphical and just plain ol' simple country thoughts. Please feel free to comment on any of my posts (all in good tastes of course) I am open to discuss almost any subject. As I stated earlier, I do not know where this will take us, nor what we will encounter along the way. I DO know that it will be exciting and hopefully enlightening (at least to me) trek. I do not claim to have all the answers, as a matter of fact, I do not even know all the questions, so join me in the journey and hopefully we will all be a richer person for it (I know I will) ......
